<br><br>I was glad that I didn't have too much to drink on New Years Eve, because the day after turned out to be a busy one.

<br><br>In the morning we had breakfast with Kims family at the cemetery where her mum is buried.

<br><br>Right after this we went to the golf course at the coast and played 18 holes. It was a pretty hot day, but there was a nice breeze along the coast and the course is in such a spectacular location.

<br><br>Most of the beaches in Queensland and New South Wales were closed due to dangerous surf conditions. There is a hurricane off the coast of Queensland creating some huge waves along all of Australia's east coast.

<br><br>In the evening we had dinner with Kims family having steam boat and those rice paper things that you roll up (not sure what it is called)...and it was yummi.

<br><br>They have this fermented fish that has been fermented over 3-4 years and it is really nice as a dipping sauce with a few chillies mixed in.

The first pictures were taken in Port Macquarie during Easter 1998.
	<br><br>Lance, Anne and Graham, some good friends of mine, decided to do some exploring around the area...
	<br><br>Graham here, on the right, The Admiral himself... (also called "Wobber") <i>"Is that a chicky-babe in the water ?"</i><br><br>The photo is taken on "Kermit" <small>(Note, the green seats...) </small>in the river at Port Macquarie.

It's pretty amazing though - crabs do not exist only on a beach. Here was the big market with is open 24 hours per day.<br><br>The market is full of fresh produce of all sorts depending on the seasons.<br><br><img src="/FILES%2f2013%2fvanuatu_2013%2f7652.jpg.axdx" height="467" width="700"><br><br><img src="/FILES%2f2013%2fvanuatu_2013%2f7654.jpg.axdx" height="467" width="700"><br><br><img src="/FILES%2f2013%2fvanuatu_2013%2f7655.jpg.axdx" height="700" width="543"><br><br><img src="/FILES%2f2013%2fvanuatu_2013%2f7657.jpg.axdx" height="700" width="443"><br><br>There is even some live produce available such as chicken and crabs.<br><br><img src="/FILES%2f2013%2fvanuatu_2013%2f7653.jpg.axdx"><br><br><img src="/FILES%2f2013%2fvanuatu_2013%2f7665.jpg.axdx" height="700" width="467"><br><br><img src="/FILES%2f2013%2fvanuatu_2013%2f7662.jpg.axdx" height="467" width="700"><br><br><br><br><br><br>Because the market is always open, people live and sleep between the stalls with their families.<br><br><img src="/FILES%2f2013%2fvanuatu_2013%2f7661.jpg.axdx"><br><br>It is also the place that people go to during lunch to buy food to eat.<br><br><img src="/FILES%2f2013%2fvanuatu_2013%2f7659.jpg.axdx"><br><br>There was a whole row of women sitting their waving their arms to keep the flies away from the food.<br><br><img src="/FILES%2f2013%2fvanuatu_2013%2f7656.jpg.axdx"><br><br><img src="/FILES%2f2013%2fvanuatu_2013%2f7666.jpg.axdx" height="700" width="467"><br><br>Also, I don't understand why the western world is spending so much effort and resources on finding cures to diseases such as cancer, diabeter, high blood pressure, arthritis, obesity, athma etc. since they here in Vanuatu already has one magical cure that takes care of them all. It was cheap and easily available at the market and it doesn't matter how much you buy, the price is always the same.<br><br><br><img src="/FILES%2f2013%2fvanuatu_2013%2f7660.jpg.axdx" height="700" width="467"><br><br>They were also selling improvised charcoal stoves bringing back memories of Kenya where everything was cooked on a Jiko's.<br><br><img src="/FILES%2f2013%2fvanuatu_2013%2f7663.jpg.axdx" height="467" width="700"><br><br>While we were outside the market discussing where to go next this woman and her little girl walked past.
